NORWAY – Mr. Walter M. Leckey, 91, died Wednesday March 21, 2012 at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway. Born in 1921 in Mexico, Maine, the second son of Wesley and Lucy Adams Leckey, he was a lifetime resident of the area, attending local schools and graduating from Mexico High School, class of 1938. A U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, he was assigned to the ship Aeoulis ARL 42. He married the former Pauline Razzano in 1941, and was a former member of AF, AM, BPOE, Oakdale Country Club, Chisholm Ski Club, Boise 25 year Club, and was a life member of the American Legion. He retired in 1982 as supervisor for Boise Cascade Corp. control systems at Rumford, Maine. Survivors include a son James of Auburn, Maine and daughters Janice Parsons of Phoenix, AZ and Margaret Rearick of Hebron, ME, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
